A crowd of protesters stormed the military courthouse near the Beit Lid base on the evening of July 29, 2024. Clashes with soldiers ensued, but the hearings were no longer held due to the late hour. Police were unable to remove the organizers for several hours as they attempted to enter the base where the suspects were being held.

Honeinu, which represents some of the suspects, said one of them was an MP from Jabaliya in the Gaza Strip. The reason for his rape charge and his connection to the Nuhba terrorist are unclear. The terrorist was transferred to Sde Teiman after he protested and attacked soldiers during his detention.

At the same time, dozens of protesters gathered in front of the home of the military prosecutor, Major General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi. They hurled vile insults at her and threatened her. A large police force was deployed to the scene to prevent unrest and ensure security.
