US President Joe Biden spoke by phone with the leaders of Qatar and Egypt on Friday, August 23, insisting on the importance of reaching a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, while negotiators in Cairo tried to resolve problems that were preventing an agreement, Reuters reported.
