Maccabi Haifa defender Alexander Sirota scored a goal in the game against Maccabi Bnei Reine (2:2). The game was held as part of the third round of the Israeli championship. The Ukrainian scored the second goal in the 90+3 minute after a corner from the right flank. This is his first goal for the Israeli team after six matches.

However, later, in the 90+14 minute, Sirota committed assault in his own penalty area, and the opponent accurately executed the penalty.

Sirota began his career in Dynamo Kyiv. Last season, he played 20 matches for Dynamo, giving 1 assist. He also has experience of two games for the Ukrainian national team. In July of this year, Maccabi and Dynamo signed a one-year lease agreement, with the right to buy the Ukrainian back.
