Palestinians in Chechnya received “cultural autonomy”

The national and cultural autonomy of the Palestinians was officially registered in Chechnya. Minister of National Policy Akhmed Dudayev conveyed information about this to the publication Chechnya Segodnya.

The elder of the Palestinian community in Chechnya, Alhag Nassef, was given a certificate of registration of the non-profit organization “Local public organization of national-cultural autonomy of Palestinians in the city of Grozny.” According to the publication, the region is home to more than 200 residents of the Gaza Strip who were forced to leave their homes after the start of Israel's military operation against the Hamas group.

The local authorities of Chechnya expressed their readiness to accept up to 250 residents of Gaza.
