Hezbollah has expressed a desire for peace, but Israel is in no rush to reach a political settlement.

The Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah has offered a ceasefire to Israel, abandoning its demand for a cessation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip as a precondition.

According to Israeli media, this initiative is Iranian, and the Iranian regime is trying to save Hezbollah from complete defeat by offering a ceasefire. Senior Israeli government officials rejected the offer, saying they had spent a year calling on Hezbollah to stop fighting in vain.

Now the Israeli authorities are planning to achieve their goal by force – to allow residents of the northern border villages to return home and live in safety.
