The Kremlin said that possible Israeli military actions in Syria would cause “serious consequences”

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed “regret about the expansion of the geography of the conflict in the Middle East to Lebanon.” He noted that “the consequences of all this are catastrophic for the region,” speaking about the possibility of increasing the combat zone.

Israel, in turn, has shown no signs of intensifying its actions in Syria, although it takes a tough stance against Iranian groups in this country.

Jerusalem has not demonstrated any intentions to strengthen its military activities in Syria, despite regular airstrikes against Iranian groups. Israel has sought to prevent Iranian influence on the border, although such attacks are rarely acknowledged.
