Ukraine invited Israel to begin cooperation in the fight against Iranian drones, but the Israeli authorities did not respond to this proposal. Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevgeny Korniychuk said that President Vladimir Zelensky handed over a fragment of an Iranian drone to the new government of Benjamin Netanyahu. Former Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov also tried to establish cooperation between the countries on the development of air defense systems against drones, but the Israeli side did not give an answer.
Korniychuk expressed regret about this and noted that this is reality. Israel refused official cooperation out of a desire not to worsen relations with the Russian Federation, despite the alliance between Moscow and Tehran. Recently, Iran fired almost 200 missiles towards Israel, which the IDF called a declaration of war and announced a response. Russia and Iran are preparing to sign a comprehensive cooperation agreement, which is reminiscent of a similar agreement with the DPRK.
Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Michael Brodsky expressed his opinion about the possibility of starting a full-scale war in the Middle East and about the possible unification of Kyiv and Tel Aviv in the fight against Iran. Brodsky emphasized that the actions are aimed primarily at ensuring security.
