Yesterday, the media reported that Ukraine offered Israel to begin cooperation in combating Iranian drones from the beginning of 2023, but never received a response. This information was confirmed by Ukrainian Ambassador Yevgeny Korniychuk, who transmitted this proposal on behalf of Kyiv to Israel.

The diplomat even brought to the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a piece of an Iranian drone that the Russian Federation used in its attack on Kyiv.

Korniychuk emphasized that if Israel and Ukraine do not begin to cooperate, they may face a similar threat from drones. “I don’t want to say, ‘I told you so,’ but I told you so,” the Ukrainian ambassador noted.

Previously, Korniychuk accused Jerusalem of collaborating with Moscow, since Israel refused military support to Ukraine after the start of a full-scale invasion. Now, as the diplomat reports, his position has changed.

“It has long become clear to me that we have a common enemy. After the attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, Israel woke up, but there is still a lot to be done,” Korniychuk noted.

Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Michael Brodsky spoke about the possibility of starting a new full-scale war in the Middle East and joining the efforts of Kyiv and Tel Aviv against Iran in the interview “We act primarily in the interests of our own security.”
