Following a successful IDF operation in northern Lebanon where senior terrorist Imad Amhaz was kidnapped, the Lebanese government launched an investigation to understand how Israeli forces managed to land on the country's coast undetected. General Aoun presented a report describing the details of the operation and the difficulties in detecting Israeli commandos, and the general also mentioned problems with the operation of radars offshore.

The army commander noted that Lebanon has 10 naval radars, but in some areas these radars cannot detect objects. Small boats without a transponder, moving at a certain speed, are practically invisible to radar due to the way they work. Researchers believe Israeli special forces arrived in fishing boats without electronics, which helped them avoid radar detection.

IDF Special Forces Operation Shayetet 13 was successful due to the selection of a landing site where radar did not work well and the use of technical means to create jamming. Imad Amhaz, a Hezbollah commander, was detained during the operation, after which the IDF continues to investigate information received from him.
