Hezbollah says Israel will 'ask for a ceasefire'

Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem expressed new threats against Israel after the destruction of Hassan Nasrallah. He stated that rocket attacks on Israel would cause heavy damage so that there would be no quiet places on its territory.

Hezbollah refuses to believe in a peaceful settlement and will lead to Israel begging for a truce.

Qassem stressed that Hezbollah fully relies on its military power and demands a cessation of hostilities in Southern Lebanon, as well as the withdrawal of Israeli military units from this territory. He stated the need to begin the negotiation process between Israel and the Lebanese government only after these conditions proposed by Hezbollah are met.
