Israel's neighbors condemn Smotrich's plans as “irresponsible, outrageous and arrogant”

Egypt has strongly condemned the Israeli Finance Minister's statements about settlement expansion in the West Bank. According to Egyptian diplomats, such statements violate international law and contradict the international community's position on the creation of an independent Palestinian state. They declare the need to protect the rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination.

Qatar also expressed its concerns about the Israeli government minister's statements. Meanwhile, the Israeli minister himself announced his readiness to extend Israeli sovereignty to Judea and Samaria after the change of administration in the United States.

Egypt and Qatar call on Israel to take responsibility for bringing peace to the region and on the international community to end the cycle of violence and destruction.
