Iran wants to end armed clashes between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon, Reuters reports.

On November 15, 2024, during ceasefire negotiations with Israel, Iran's representative stated that Iran would support any decision made by Lebanon. It shows Tehran's desire to see an end to the conflict, which has dealt heavy blows to Hezbollah, Iran's ally in Lebanon. Ali Larijani, an adviser to Iran's supreme leader, expressed his position during a visit to Beirut as Israel continued to intensify attacks on Hezbollah-controlled areas of the Lebanese capital, Reuters reported.

Larijani emphasized: “We do not seek destruction. We are committed to solving problems” after meeting with Lebanese officials. Let us recall that since the end of September, Israel has been carrying out large-scale attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon. The IDF is carrying out attacks on the group's strongholds in various parts of Lebanon and areas near the border.

Additionally, Dov Lieber, a correspondent for The Wall Street Journal, noted that Israel is expanding its military campaign in Lebanon, which could lead to a war of attrition.
