Russia, Iran and Türkiye will discuss the situation in Syria at a meeting in Qatar

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed full support for the Syrian regime during his visit to Damascus. He noted that at the moment there is an acute escalation of the civil war in Syria. Abbas Araghchi also said that militants fighting against the government of President Assad are coordinating their actions with Israel and the United States. In his opinion, this is confirmed by information about the start of the militant offensive, which occurred recently.

The minister stressed that Syria is faced with a situation where militants have launched attacks throughout the country, which could lead to serious consequences. He expressed confidence that the Iranian side will provide full support to Syria in the fight against terrorists and violators of international law. “Iran has always stood on the side of the Syrian government and will support it in difficult times,” Abbas Araghchi emphasized.

In addition, the minister noted that contradictions between Israel and the Syrian regime could aggravate the situation in the Middle East region. He emphasized the need for dialogue and conflict resolution through peaceful negotiations. Abbas Araghchi stressed that Iran will make every effort to prevent further militant advances and maintain stability in the region.
