Dmitry Medvedev once again spoke about Ukraine’s finances, this time commenting on funds from the United Kingdom. London sent Kyiv 1.3 billion dollars obtained from frozen Russian assets.

Medvedev’s Statements

The former president of Russia, in his usual manner, accused the British minister of “foolishness,” claiming that this action means transferring Russian funds to “neo-Nazis.” His rhetoric took on an aggressive tone when he noted that from the perspective of Russian lawyers, Moscow has a “right of claim” against Britain and Ukraine.

Despite this, Medvedev suggested that legal measures to recover the funds are unlikely. As an alternative, he proposed returning values “in kind” — through the seizure of Ukrainian territories or property located “in the territory of country 404.” The politician clarified that he did not mean “new Russian regions,” as he believes they “already belong to Russia.”

Compensation and Territorial Claims

Medvedev also stated that any “illegal seizure” of arrested Russian funds would require compensation with additional territories and property of Ukraine. He added that one could also turn to the values of the British Crown, which, according to him, are located in various countries, including Russia.

Previous Statement on Trump

Previously, Medvedev made sharp remarks regarding US President Donald Trump. He claimed that Russian archives hold compromising video material involving the American leader.

Medvedev noted that investigations are not limited to just the Israeli intelligence Mossad, which also has similar materials. Recalling the Epstein case, he hinted that Trump should “know his place,” implying potential consequences that could arise from the publication of these archives.
