Since November 7, 2025, the European Union has finally stopped issuing multiple-entry Schengen visas to Russians. No more multi-visas, no more “easy entries.” Now β a separate document for each trip. And rightly so. Because when a country destroys its neighbors for three consecutive years, storms peaceful cities, kidnaps children, and fires at hospitals, travel across Europe should end.
Europe said: enough. But Israel is still pretending not to notice.
Yes, the EU has put an end to it β visas are now only for humanitarian reasons: treatment, study, work. And Israel? Still accepting flights from Moscow. At Ben Gurion Airport, the same smiles, the same suitcases, the same phrases: “we are apolitical”. But being apolitical when your army destroys entire cities is already moral bankruptcy.
The Kremlin is outraged β Europe responds with silence. Israel is silent too, but differently.
Dmitry Peskov calls the EU’s decision “discrimination.” As if Europe has closed itself off, and the world is unfair. But Ukraine lives under shelling β and this is not discrimination, this is genocide. Europe made a logical step. And Israel, a country that understands what constant threat to life means, has not yet decided on moral clarity.
While Europe sets up a barrier, we leave the doors open.
Russians calmly travel to Tel Aviv, stroll along the promenade, complain about prices, argue about politics in cafes on Allenby Street. And meanwhile, somewhere near Kharkiv, their missiles hit homes. This duality is no longer just diplomacy. It is painful and shameful.
The world is divided into those who draw conclusions and those who pretend not to be involved.
Europe closed its borders because it understood: you cannot accept those who destroy. And Israel is still accepting. Out of humanity? Out of fear? Out of caution? But there comes a moment when tolerance turns into complicity.
Enough. We do not have to be the window through which the smoke from someone else’s war passes. Europe said: no β and survived. Israel should say it too. Not because it hates. But because it knows what pain is.
