The Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, together with the Jewish Agency, published summary data on migration for 2025. The picture is atypical for wartime: the overall flow remains stable, and among the new immigrants, young people from Western countries are becoming increasingly noticeable.

This is not about a “paper” surge. In real numbers, there is a shift towards the 18–35 age group — it accounted for about a third of all arrivals in 2025. This changes the profile of aliyah and the requirements for absorption infrastructure.

How geography has changed in recent years

In 2023, the USA led with 2,717 immigrants. Next were France (1,109) and the United Kingdom (406). In 2025, the dynamics remain, but the focus shifts: growth rates from certain Western countries have noticeably accelerated.

According to the Jewish Agency, this year about 30,000 Jews worldwide applied for aliyah. In absolute terms, France and Russia remain leaders, but the sharpest increase was shown by the United Kingdom — about 70%, and Australia — up to 67%.

Why the West

Officials directly point to the context: the rise of anti-Semitism in several European and Anglo-Saxon countries coincided with active explanatory and organizational work by Israeli structures. For many, the decision to make aliyah became not an abstract “someday,” but a practical step here and now.

A special emphasis is placed on in-person formats. Fairs and exhibitions on aliyah issues in 2025 were held in several regions and became points of first contact for thousands of families and young professionals.

Where the fairs were held

Events took place in the USA, France, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Georgia, Argentina, Mexico, South Africa, and Australia. In France, according to official estimates, more than 13,000 people attended them.

On-site, one could receive initial consultation and understand the “roadmap” for relocation: from interaction with government agencies and banks to education issues, municipal programs, and the labor market.

Looking ahead: plans for 2026

A separate line in planning is the arrival of about 1,200 members of the Bnei Menashe community in 2026. The initiative is being implemented with the participation of Benjamin Netanyahu and the Minister of Aliyah and Integration Ofir Sofer, with the support of relevant departments and the Chief Rabbinate.

The ministry emphasizes: this is not a one-time action, but the building of a long-term strategy — focusing on countries where pressure on Jewish communities is increasing, and simultaneously expanding assistance to new immigrants from North America.

The outcome of 2025 is clear: even against the backdrop of war, Israel remains a point of attraction, especially for young people seeking safety, prospects, and a clear identity. It is this shift that today shapes the agenda, as reported by NAnews — News of Israel | Nikk.Agency.
