Amnesty International's report on the genocide in Gaza caused a sharp reaction from the US State Department.

At a press conference, US State Department spokesman Vedant Patel spoke about Amnesty International's recent report, rejecting accusations of genocide by Israel in the Gaza Strip. He emphasized US disagreement with this view and acknowledged the important role of human rights organizations, but nevertheless highlighted the differences in conclusions.

According to Patel, Washington has repeatedly emphasized its position and confidently stands its ground. At the same time, he acknowledged the importance of the work of organizations such as Amnesty International in analyzing the situation in Gaza, regardless of differences in assessment of the situation.

Responding to a statement by the Israeli Foreign Ministry regarding the Amnesty International report, a State Department representative called it sad, but emphasized the divergence of positions. The United States has expressed its attitude towards the human rights organization and continues to adhere to its point of view.
