An Israeli airport has temporarily suspended flights due to a strike following the killing of hostages.

Protesters in Tel Aviv are demanding an immediate deal to free the hostages held by Hamas and a ceasefire. Ben Gurion Airport will suspend flights for two hours from 8:00 a.m. as part of a nationwide strike. The announcement was made by Israel's largest labor union, which is determined to paralyze the Israeli economy and secure a deal to free the hostages.

Public demonstrations are taking place over the killing of six hostages in the Gaza Strip, whose bodies were found over the weekend. According to CNN, three of them are to be released in a possible ceasefire. Thousands of Israelis are taking part in rallies demanding the release of hostages taken by Hamas in October 2023.

The Israeli Federation of Trade Unions has called a general strike in the country over the failure to free the hostages in Gaza. The union chairman stressed that the agreement was more important than anything else. IDF forces found the bodies of six hostages held by Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip on September 1.
