A Channel 12 poll found that a large majority of Israelis believe that Benjamin Netanyahu should step down as prime minister before the next elections. Sixty-nine percent of respondents said that Netanyahu should step down, while only 22% support his participation in the upcoming elections. The remaining 9% were undecided.

Interestingly, the same division of opinion is observed among members of the coalition parties. 46% of those polled expressed the opinion that Netanyahu should resign, while 43% believe that he should continue his political career by running for prime minister.

It is worth noting that former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, who is currently inactive in politics, was the only candidate considered more suitable for the prime minister job by a majority of respondents than Netanyahu, with an approval rating of 38% compared to Netanyahu's 33%.
