China's Foreign Ministry expressed its views on the elimination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and emphasized its opposition to violations of Lebanese sovereignty and provocative actions that could exacerbate tensions.
“China is very concerned about the increasing tension in the region… We are against any actions that violate the sovereignty and security of Lebanon,” the statement said.
Beijing called on parties to the conflict, especially Israel, to take measures to reduce tensions.
China also stated that the crisis in Lebanon is related to the war in the Gaza Strip and called for the implementation of UN Security Council resolutions, including the creation of a Palestinian state.
