Cyprus stripped Kolomoisky of his citizenship for “violating naturalization laws”; he still holds Israeli and Ukrainian citizenship

It is important to note that in addition to Cypriot citizenship, Kolomoisky has also been a citizen of Israel since 1995 and Ukraine. In 2014, as the head of the Dnipropetrovsk region, he said that he did not consider it a violation to have three citizenships. Due to his involvement in “various corruption cases”, in 2021 it was decided to ban him from entering the United States. Investigations also revealed his connection to money laundering through the Cyprus branch of PrivatBank.

Thus, the actions of Igor Kolomoisky give rise to “serious violations and suspicions of involvement in financial fraud both in Cyprus and abroad.” His participation in the schemes led to the deprivation of his Cypriot citizenship and a ban on entry to the United States.
