14 months after the kidnapping of Israeli hostage Matan Zengauer, the terrorist group Hamas released a video of him speaking to his mother and urging her not to forget about them. Zengauer also accused the Israeli leadership of inaction and called on Israelis to increase pressure on the government by organizing protests.

He spoke about the difficult living conditions in captivity, the lack of food, drink, and medicine, and accused the authorities of “leaving the hostages to die.” The video caused a great stir, and Zengauer called on everyone to keep the prime minister awake so that he understood the suffering of the hostages as well.

In addition to Zengauer, Hamas released a video of another hostage, Idan Alexander, who appealed to US President Donald Trump for help in their release. Alexander also accused the Joe Biden administration of supplying weapons that he said were harming hostages.
