Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said the war with Israel had reached a new level after the killing of the group's commander, Fuad Shukr, in an airstrike in Beirut, according to Al Jazeera. Nasrallah stressed that the response to the attack would be real and studied, not just symbolic, although several countries have called on Hezbollah to refrain from retaliation.

In his statement, the Hezbollah leader said that Israel had crossed the line and a response to its actions was inevitable. He also stressed that the future situation in the region would depend on Israel's reaction to the upcoming response. The murder of Fuad Shukr was caused by the murder of children in the Golan Heights, for which he was responsible, as well as the attack on the city of Majdal Shamsi in northern Israel, which resulted in the death of children.
