In the evening of September 22, 2025, French President Emmanuel Macron encountered an unexpected situation on his way to the UN headquarters. This happened before his speech when he found himself blocked on the street, which sparked media interest.
What happened on the way to the UN?
According to information obtained from sources, Macron, heading to an important event, encountered the police. “Sorry, Mr. President, everything is blocked right now,” a law enforcement representative conveyed to him.
The head of France, realizing the situation, couldn’t resist a joke and called Donald Trump asking to “clear the road.”
“Guess what, I’m waiting on the street right now because everything is blocked for you,” President Macron shared with Trump.
After a few minutes of waiting, the police unblocked the street, but only for pedestrians. This forced Macron to continue his way to the French embassy on foot. On the move, he continued his conversation with Trump and even took photos with several passersby.
