Iranian authorities have arrested 12 “mercenaries of the Zionist regime.”

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the arrest of 12 “mercenaries of the Zionist regime.” The operation against Israeli agents was carried out in six provinces of the country, where, according to the Tasnim news agency, they were trying to disrupt the situation and create chaos.

According to the Corps, Israeli agents were acting to destabilize Iran after the failure of the “Zionist regime's” plans in Gaza and Lebanon. The fascist regime allegedly sought to spread the crisis to the Islamic Republic after failures elsewhere.

“After the failure of the Zionist regime's plans and its support from the Americans and Europeans, the criminal leaders of this regime intended to avoid a strategic defeat by trying to create a crisis in Iran,” the Guard Corps said in a statement.
