A new study conducted by a group of consultants commissioned by the TV channel showed that the opinions of supporters and opponents of the war in Israel are almost equal. In Gaza, 47% of respondents support ending the war, and 45% support continuing fighting. In Lebanon, 48% believe that a political settlement needs to be reached as soon as possible, and 44% are ready to continue military operations.
Regarding the participation of the ultra-Orthodox in the army, 68% of respondents believe that they should serve, regardless of knowledge of the Torah. On the issue of subsidizing kindergartens for military draft refusers, 60% believe that this is necessary. While 43% say the new inspector general of police is keen to please the security minister, 31% believe he is guided by professional principles.
Public opinion was also polled regarding the name of the current war. Most preferred the name “October 7 War”. The survey included 502 people over 18 years of age, representing both Jews and Arabs, with a maximum sampling error of 4.4%.
