Serbia makes a major deal with the Israeli company Elbit worth $335 million. This will allow the country to acquire advanced artillery systems and unmanned drones. The deal comes amid a tightening arms race with Croatia, a member of NATO and the European Union. The Serbian President noted that Israeli systems are better than Croatia's American ones and will help ensure the country's security.
The delivery of artillery launchers and PULS missiles, as well as the Hermes 900 UAV, will be completed within three and a half years. PULS is a multi-barrel launcher with a range of up to 300 km. Hermes 900 is an advanced reconnaissance and strike UAV with a large payload. These systems have already been used in various countries and are considered effective.
The contract with Elbit is not just an arms deal, but also an indicator of warming relations between Israel and Serbia. This confirms the growing defense cooperation between the countries. This agreement demonstrates Serbia's commitment to modern technologies in the defense sector.
