Knesset member and former Information Minister Galit Distel-Atbaryan (Likud) said on Kol Hai radio that she considers those who relate to Netanyahu not only financially, seeing in him something higher, like a vision of God. This is surprising given that Distel-Atbarian is known for her ability to bend reality to her party's political line. She also made inconsistent statements, for example, that the film “The Matrix” was based on Kabbalah, which, of course, is not true.
“Those who look at Netanyahu with less material eyes see God hovering above him. There is no natural or logical explanation for what he is going through. In personal conversations with Netanyahu, we talk only about faith and philosophy,” I quote Distel-Atbaryan.
In an interview on ITV's Channel 14, the politician spoke out more aggressively, calling those who support Netanyahu's trial “fucking racists.” She accused her opponents of hatred, which is directed not at Netanyahu himself, but at her and Amsalem. She also noted that she is tired of racists who are unable to accept defeat in elections and accuse them of stealing the country.
Distel-Atbaryan has always been distinguished by her active support of Netanyahu, sharply attacking his opponents. She advocated for judicial reform, arguing that all protests in Israel are financed from abroad and that protesters are unaware of the true situation and are being manipulated into demonstrating with foreign money.
The politician called the protesters “violent elite” and the striking doctors “cruel people.” In addition, she called for taking away doctors’ licenses and called conscientious objector reservists “non-Zionists.” For her, the protests are not a fight for democracy, but rather a manifestation of the elite's fear of losing their privileges.
