The Israeli TV channel Channel 14 reported that it was preparing a detailed plan for retaliation against Iran for the missile attack carried out on October 1. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant were presented with the plan, which included possible strikes on the residences of Iranian leaders.

Israel's earlier delayed response was prompted by the leak of classified Pentagon documents revealing plans for a retaliatory strike. According to information obtained from the report, the Golden Horizon and Rocks air-launched ballistic missiles would be used.
