The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, made a statement on September 30, 2025, after a visit to the USA, during which a plan to end the conflict in Gaza was discussed.

Netanyahu described the trip as “historic.” He stated that “this time we managed to turn the situation in our favor by isolating Hamas.”

“Now the whole world, including the Arab and Muslim regions, is putting pressure on Hamas to accept our conditions, agreed with President Trump: the release of all abducted, both alive and dead, while our troops remain in most of the territory,” he concluded.

Creation of a Palestinian State

When discussing the possibility of creating a Palestinian state, Netanyahu stated his categorical position on this issue.

“Absolutely out of the question, and the agreement says nothing about it. We insist that we will not allow the emergence of a Palestinian state. President Trump also understands our point of view. He also emphasized at the UN that it would be a great reward for terror and a real danger to Israel,” explained the Prime Minister.

Criticism of the Plan

The opinion on Netanyahu’s proposal is shared not only by the opposition but also by members of his coalition government. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich criticized the initiated plan, calling it a “loud diplomatic defeat.”

“I am sure that this will turn into tears for many. Our children will once again be forced to deal with the situation in Gaza,” said Smotrich, reflecting concerns about “internal consequences.”
