Sinwar's younger brother is being trained to become Hamas chief of staff.

Walla reported that the brother of the late Hamas leader, Yahya, will be appointed chief of staff of the organization, with a deputy given political leadership.

Yahya's younger brother, Mohammad, was born in 1975, connected his life with Hamas and participated in operations. He was one of the organizers of Shalit's kidnapping in 2006, showing himself to be an influential member of the organization.

The deputy head of Hamas in Gaza, Khalil al-Hayi, has already issued a statement about the “martyrdom” of the leader. He reaffirmed Hamas' position on the negotiations, without budging on demands for Israeli hostages.
