Sweden has refused to accept wounded Palestinians for treatment.

The Swedish government has refused to accept sick and wounded people from Gaza, despite having the capacity to treat them. The European Commission has asked for medical evacuations, but Sweden has refused, unlike other countries such as Norway. The Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm is ready to accept patients, but the government has noted the huge costs for a small number of patients.

Hospital officials say they have available space and the ability to provide assistance to the Gaza Strip.

However, Sweden's health ministry pointed out that the country already provides significant financial and medical assistance to the Palestinians. Despite the hospital's readiness, no decision was made to accept patients from Gaza due to the enormous costs involved.
