IDF forces entered the Palestinian town of Qalqilya on Saturday after two Israelis went there to have their car repaired and went missing. Contact with them was lost and there were concerns for their safety, so a search operation was launched.
The Palestinians began throwing stones and shells at the soldiers, and they were forced to open fire, wounding one of the attackers. So far, Palestinian sources have not reported any casualties from IDF fire. The search for two Israelis in Qalqilya continues.
The rescue operation in Qalqilya ended successfully: the missing persons were found, their condition is good. An investigation into the incident has been launched, but there is no official confirmation of the final result of the search.
