The IDF has determined the reason for the delay in firing the sirens on Saturday night.

The Logistics Service has completed its investigation into the late activation of sirens due to a rocket from Yemen that fell in Jaffa. The Command of the Logistics Service and the Air Force conducted an investigation until December 23. It turned out that the warning system worked late due to unknown reasons. The IDF assured that the errors would be corrected.

The IDF expanded alert areas following an investigation to prevent similar incidents. Now the zones where sirens are activated in the event of a missile threat will be wider. The command reminded that missile defense does not provide complete safety, so it is important to follow the instructions.

The air defense was unable to intercept the missile due to problems in the system and the sirens triggered with a delay. The forces were not ready for the attack. Air raid sirens went off minutes before the explosion.
