The Israeli Prime Minister's Office has denied that the country warned Iran in advance about the planned airstrike through third parties. Israel did not disclose the timing, targets or scale of the attack, the official said. On the night of October 26, 2024, the Israeli army launched a series of air strikes against military targets in Iran, an operation called “Days of Repentance.”

Iran said Israeli strikes hit several provinces, but air defense forces were able to repulse the attacks and cause only limited damage. Some sources said Russia warned Iran hours before the strike, helping to de-escalate. Thanks to this, it was possible to reduce the scale of damage from Israeli strikes.

According to Axios, the Israeli government, through third parties, warned Iran about the impending strikes, even pointing to specific targets. This action caused a wide resonance in the international community, signaling a possible increase in tension in the region.
