The new Israeli Defense Minister has already stated that their “Israel has won a victory over Hezbollah.”

Israel Katz, as reported by Reuters, noted that it is necessary to continue to apply pressure to reap the fruits of victory. He expressed hope that Lebanon will join other states in the process of normalizing relations with Israel. Interestingly, Katz also stated that Israel has no intention of interfering in Lebanon’s internal affairs, given that the country has “learned its lessons.”

Israel's operation in Lebanon began on the night of September 30, when the Israel Defense Forces began strikes against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. On October 7, Hezbollah shelled the cities of Haifa and Tiberias in northern Israel, where at least 10 people were injured.

On October 13, the IDF announced strikes on approximately 200 Hezbollah targets deep inside Lebanon and in the south of the country, targeting terrorist cells, rocket launchers, command posts and combat positions. The Israeli military also shelled southern Beirut on October 20, targeting branches of the Al-Qard Al-Hasan bank, which is suspected of financing Hezbollah.

On October 29, Israeli representatives reported the destruction of Hezbollah infrastructure in the area of ​​the village of Kfarkela in southern Lebanon. The operation was carried out to prevent the group's possible ground incursions into northern Israel, known as the Galilee Conquest plan.
