The US has offered Israel “compensation” for a retaliatory strike on Iran if it is limited.

The evening newscast Kan-11 reported on the White House's offer to provide Israel with a “compensation package” for refraining from retaliating against Iran.

US officials promised diplomatic support and additional assistance to Israel if it showed restraint. The discussions began following Iran's missile attack on Israel last week.

According to the channel, representatives of the White House are ready to support Israel, provided that the country shows restraint. A source in Jerusalem said: “We respect the US and are always ready to listen to our ally, but we will take all measures to protect citizens.” Israel is promised broad diplomatic support and assistance if necessary.
