The attack took place on two sections of the highway, where the terrorist opened fire on civilian cars. Police confirmed that it was a terrorist attack and the attacker was killed on the spot. The attack took place at Yavneh and Nir Galim solutions on Route 4, where a terrorist fired at vehicles, killing one person and injuring four, one of them in serious condition.
Among the injured was a doctor who tried to help the victims but was hit by a car during the chaos on the road. After the attack, police blocked the highway in both directions and began checking for possible accomplices of the terrorist. In the Israeli city of Hadera on October 9, a man on a motorcycle with a knife attacked passers-by, six people were injured, two of them in critical condition.
On October 6, Israel experienced a double terrorist attack in Beer Sheva, where unknown assailants attacked people. At least one victim and ten wounded are known, including a policeman. One of the attackers was killed.
