Trump: The issue of settlement in Gaza requires “further work”

Return of Hostages and New Challenges

All 20 hostages have returned, and their condition is satisfactory. However, as Trump noted on Truth Social, this is just the beginning. The bodies of the deceased, contrary to promises, have not been returned. The second phase of the settlement has already started.

On October 13, Trump, along with the leaders of Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, signed an agreement aimed at resolving the conflict in Gaza. The document is based on Trump’s peace plan, which includes 20 points and several implementation stages.

Stages of the Peace Plan

First Stage: Ceasefire

The first stage provided for an immediate ceasefire and the release of hostages. Hamas released 20 hostages and handed over the bodies of four deceased. Israel released about 2,000 Palestinian prisoners.

Broken Promises

Nevertheless, the bodies of 24 hostages remain in the enclave. Israeli authorities and the families of the deceased accuse Hamas of violating agreements, adding tension to the settlement process.

The situation in Gaza remains complex, and further steps will require diplomatic finesse and determination. Time will tell how events will unfold, but it is already clear that the path to peace will not be easy.
