Leonid Ptashka — A Jazz Legend
Leonid Ptashka is not just a pianist, but a true icon of jazz music. Born in 1964 in Baku, he became one of Israel’s most famous musicians, promoting jazz in Israel since the early 1990s. Ptashka collaborated with world stars such as Al Foster, Herb Alpert, and Igor Butman. His masterful improvisations, emotional performance style, and unique piano sound earned him the nickname “The Piano Destroyer”.
In 2003, he was awarded the Knesset Medal for his achievements in music and his cultural contribution to Israel. Ptashka continues to perform worldwide, giving over 200 concerts annually.
About the “ManSound” Ensemble
ManSound is a Ukrainian vocal sextet, founded in 1994 in Kyiv, which has taken leading positions on the world jazz stage. The group became famous for its unique sound and victories at prestigious competitions, such as Grand Prix at Vokal Total in 2002 and the CASA award for the best jazz vocal performance.
The group has participated in over 50 jazz festivals around the world and has become a laureate of several international awards. In 2001, they were nominated for the title of “Best Vocal Group on the Planet” at the All American Entertainment Awards.
