The IDF has killed a top Hamas commander in Lebanon named Samer Mahmoud al-Hajja, who was responsible for the attacks from Lebanon into Israel, the IDF said in a statement. According to the IDF, Samer commanded the armed forces in the Ain al-Hilweh camp in the Sidon region, where he recruited and trained terrorists to attack Israel.

In addition, strikes were carried out on terrorist infrastructure in the Ayta al-Shab, Mehabib, Markaba and Kfarkellah areas. “They targeted terrorist-related facilities to prevent further attacks,” the IDF said in a statement.
