Iran has showcased its long-range Mohajer-10 drones at a defense equipment exhibition in Russia. According to the Iranian news agency IRNA, the more advanced UAV was unveiled at the Army-2024 International Military-Technical Forum, which was held from Monday to Wednesday in Patriot Park near Moscow. The unveiling of the drone came amid expectations of a possible Iranian strike on Israel in response to the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on July 31.
Iranian media reported that the Mohajer-10 drone has a range of 2,000 km and can stay in the air for up to 24 hours. Its takeoff weight is up to 300 kg, which is twice the weight of the Mohajer-6. The US has reportedly accused Iran of supplying drones to Russia, including the Mohajer-10 and Mohajer-6, for use by Moscow in the conflict with Ukraine, but Tehran says otherwise.
On August 5, The New York Times reported that Iran had requested new air defense systems from Russia to prepare for a possible war with Israel. On August 9, Reuters reported that Iran plans to deliver hundreds of Fath-360 short-range ballistic missiles to Russia in the near future. The missiles in question are designed to hit targets at the front and in the rear, and have a range of about 120 km, according to Defense Express on August 10.
