The United States has signed a contract to supply Israel with weapons worth $165 million.

On Friday, September 13, 2024, the United States approved an arms sale to Israel worth approximately $165 million. The money will finance heavy-duty tank tractors and related equipment, including spare and repair parts, tool kits, technical and logistical support. Deliveries are not expected to begin until 2027, and the total cost will be $164.6 million.

US officials say the sale of military equipment will not affect the basic balance of power in the region. It is also worth noting that due to Israel's constant airstrikes on densely populated areas of Gaza, the United States has previously limited the supply of 900-kilogram bombs.

This deal is not a major military initiative and will not significantly change the situation in the region. All deliveries will be made within the established deadlines, which will allow Israel to strengthen its military base and provide the necessary equipment for its tank units.

However, despite US support, issues of security and stability in the region remain pressing, and it is necessary to continue searching for diplomatic solutions to resolve conflicts in the Middle East.
