Iran's top foreign minister says nuclear talks will be more difficult than before. Abbas Araqchi expressed Iran's readiness to resume talks during the United Nations General Assembly in New York, provided “other parties are ready.” Iran hopes for sanctions relief from the United States, even though relations with the West have worsened over events in Israel and Russia's support for Ukraine. Araqchi also said the process of resuming talks would be more difficult due to current international conditions.

A possible return to the nuclear deal signed in 2016 by Iran, the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany has become a topic of discussion. However, US President Joe Biden said the country is not yet ready to begin negotiations with Iran. Recall that in 2018, US President Donald Trump withdrew from the agreement. Despite participating in the agreement, Iran reduced its commitments due to sanctions from the United States.
