The European Union is preparing to take action in response to the supply of ballistic missiles to Russia from Iran. According to Bloomberg, the EU intends to impose sanctions against several Iranian individuals and entities associated with various industries.
The first package of restrictions is scheduled to be approved at the EU leaders' summit in Brussels at the end of October. The United States also announced its intention to impose its own sanctions against Iran not only for cooperation with Russia, but also for the attack on Israel.
Iran supplied Russia with a significant number of ballistic missiles last month, according to Western intelligence. This led to sanctions from the US, Germany, France and the UK.
Tehran is also accused of providing Moscow with attack drones and other weapons. Iran denies supplying missiles to Russia, but Western countries are determined to oppose such cooperation, which could affect the conflict in Ukraine.
