Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed the opinion that Iran and Russia should join forces with Turkey and resist “Israeli actions in Syria.”

These statements were made in the context of new Israeli air strikes on Iranian targets in Syria.

Erdogan accused Israel of violating the territorial integrity of Syria and called on the Syrian authorities to firmly defend their sovereignty.

He also noted that Türkiye controls part of Syrian territory, preventing government troops from entering it. The Turkish leader stressed that diplomatic efforts can still help prevent further expansion of the conflict in the Middle East.
