French President Emmanuel Macron advocates sending troops to Ukraine. A meeting with the Polish side is expected in Warsaw on December 12. The goal is to discuss a possible peacekeeping mission to protect the sovereignty of Ukraine if an agreement is signed with Russia.
Former NATO Deputy Secretary General Camille Grand expressed the opinion that Europe can take the risk of protecting Ukrainian sovereignty. France is actively proposing to send a peacekeeping mission to the country to monitor compliance with the ceasefire. It is possible that the command of one of the brigades will be assigned to Poland.
There are three ways to guarantee security for Ukraine. The USA and Germany are against the “German” model – joining NATO when part of the territory is under occupation. The “Israeli” model is uncertain due to the dependence of arms supplies on the budgets of the United States and Europe. The proposed “Korean” model involves a peacekeeping mission to protect sovereignty.
Camille Grand considers it important to involve the maximum number of countries in the mission, even of a symbolic nature. Germany and the Netherlands may support the idea after the elections.

According to Western media reports, US President Donald Trump is considering creating a buffer zone on the Russian-Ukrainian front, controlled by the military of European countries. London and Paris are discussing the possibility of protecting Ukraine after signing a peace agreement to end the war.
