On November 2, 2024, the solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the 53rd Kyiv International Film Festival “Molodist” was held at the “House of Cinema” in Kyiv. Within the framework of the international competition, the films were recognized as the best student films “Like a Butterfly” by Israeli director Iris Gershon Nagar and “Basia: Three Short Stories” by Polish director Mateusz Pietrak.

“This film shows that aging is not only a physical process, but also an emotional one,” said Iris Gershon Nagar. This phrase emphasizes the deep emotions running through the film and its value to audiences.

Iris Gershon Nagar. University mathematics teacher with 20 years of experience. Has husband Tal and children Daniel, Omer and Shahar. They live together in Tel Aviv. In recent years, she has devoted herself to studying cinema, and recently completed work on her first film.
