Sullivan offered Biden the option of possible US strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities.

If before January 20 Tehran was on the path to creating a nuclear bomb, then Washington was considering the possibility of carrying out a series of attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities. Journalists from the Axios resource claim that the meeting between Jake Sullivan and Joe Biden occurred recently and still remains a secret.

According to the source, the US President did not approve possible strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities. Despite discussing all possible scenarios in the event of Iran building a nuclear bomb, Biden has not made a final decision.

This was a standard discussion of possible scenarios if Tehran reaches 90% uranium enrichment by January 20, 2025. There is no discussion of strikes against Iran in the White House today. The only time Biden could agree to such strikes is if Iran accelerates its nuclear program and incites its allies to act against Israel.

Biden is currently analyzing the pros and cons of possible strikes. Experts note that Iran has changed its nuclear program during the Biden presidency and has achieved the status of a “nuclear threshold country.” The IAEA announced that Iran has enough nuclear energy to create four bombs, but it will take more time to complete the process.

Iranian scientists have recently conducted research related to nuclear weapons. Sullivan in December 2024 gave a status report to the team of the new US President regarding Iran's nuclear program. The Western press also discussed Trump's actions towards Iran in 2025.
