EU High Representative Josep Borrell visited the Gaza border in Rafah and expressed his concern about the situation with the delivery of humanitarian aid. He stressed the need to resume deliveries in full and to open border crossings for the passage of goods and the evacuation of citizens.
Borrell also visited the Zuweid hospital, which is supported by UNICEF and the European Union. Young patients described the difficulties they face at the hospital. Red Cross volunteers reported shock at the blockade of warehouses with humanitarian supplies, which they said was caused by the Israeli authorities.
According to Al Hadath, anonymous sources claim that Egypt is demanding that Israel cease control over the Rafah border crossing in the first days of a possible truce.
